The German Historical Institute in Paris offers mobility scholarships for history postgraduates and researchers from Ukraine for a research visit. Postgraduate students (advanced master’s and doctoral) and postdoctoral researchers whose research projects are in the field of European, African or digital history can apply. Applicants should have a sufficiently good command of German, French or English to collaborate with colleagues from the Institute.

Scholarships will be awarded for a period of up to three months, at the end of which another application may be made for a further three months. For master’s students, scholarships are for a maximum of one to three months. Applications may be submitted at any time.

a) Mobility scholarships for research master’s students

Applications for a mobility scholarship as part of a research master should consist of about 10.000 characters (including spaces and bibliography). A current curriculum vitae is to be enclosed. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s academic supervisor and a current academic transcript are desirable but not essential

b) Mobility scholarships for doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and holders of a Doctor of Science (or equivalent)

To be eligible for this scholarship the applicant must have successfully completed their undergraduate degree. The project proposal should consist of 10.000–15.000 characters (including spaces and bibliography). A current curriculum vitae is to be enclosed. A letter of recommendation from the applicant’s academic supervisor is desirable but not essential.
