The initiative Ukrainian Research in Switzerland (URIS) invites applications for two six-month research and teaching fellowships at the University of Basel — one for the Spring Semester 2027 and one for the Autumn Semester 2027.

🔍 The fellowships are open to postdoctoral scholars in the humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences whose research contributes to a deeper understanding of Ukraine’s history, society, politics, or culture.

Since 2015, URIS has been funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and aims to strengthen Ukraine-related research, support early-career scholars, and foster international academic exchange.
