Conservatorium van Amsterdam – Reach Out Programme for Refugee Music Students

Every Sunday we will open our doors and offer free music lessons, workshops, and other facilities and means of support to registered refugees living (temporarily) in the Netherlands to help with the continuation of their studies or the start of their (higher) music education. 

CvA Reach Out is for Registered Refugees, living (temporarily) in the Netherlands who are:

youngsters between the ages of 8 and 18 who have had music lessons in their country of origin, providing:

  • free lessons on Sundays at CvA by experienced staff and/or alumni.
  • lessons will be between 30-45 minutes, depending on age and skill level
  • advanced and talented pupils still in primary or secondary school can enter the Sweelinck AcademyJunior Jazz College or the Young Pop Academy
  • social meeting place with lunch provided between 12.30-13.30h
