King’s College London – Support of Ukrainian Academics and Students

The Sanctuary Programme includes a range of projects, including the Partnership for Digital Learning and Increased Access (PADILEIA), Sanctuary Scholarships and the King’s Refugee Community Sponsorship Scheme. The programme also aims to enhance understanding of forced migration among staff and students at King’s and to develop opportunities for them to make a positive contribution.

Culture of Solidarity Fund – Ukraine

Introduced by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) in 2020, the Culture of Solidarity Fund was originally set up as a corona-response mechanism for pan-European cultural initiatives. Established as a public-philanthropic partnership fund, it supported nearly 100 cultural projects that contributed to maintaining and reinforcing European solidarity and the idea of Europe as a shared public space during the pandemic lockdowns.

Today, the war in Ukraine has put new relevance to our Culture of Solidarity mission and calls for funding urgent European and cultural action more than ever before.

ICFR – Emergency Fund for Filmmakers at Risk

The International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk (ICFR) has launched a special emergency fund for filmmakers who are in danger due to the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian filmmakers at risk as well as independent critical filmmakers from Russia and Belarus who oppose the war are eligible to apply.

AiR Tilburg | Sea Foundation – Emergency Residencies for Ukrainian Arts Professionals

We are looking for ways to support Ukrainian arts professionals. We, therefore, offer funded emergency residencies of 3 months to professional Ukrainian artists, curators, curator collectives, or curator/artist duo, who are displaced or who are fleeing the war. We still have two places available. You will receive a warm welcome and support in the city of Tilburg, which is located in the South of the Netherlands near the Belgium border.

We provide sustenance, accommodation and curatorial and artistic practice support and a modest stipend. Unfortunately, due to the available accommodation, we can not host families.

Fondation Jan Michalski for Writing and Literature – Grant Opportunities

The Jan Michalski Foundation supports projects related to literature and literary translation beyond its four walls, in Switzerland and abroad, by a program that awards financial grants.

Grant requests are considered over a six-month period by a commission presided by Vera Michalski-Hoffmann. Aid is attributed according to several criteria, viz., quality and originality of the project, its ability to promote literature, and evidence of financial need.

Helsinki International Artists Programme – Ukraine Solidarity Residencies

Ukraine Solidarity Residencies offer residencies and accommodation for Ukrainian and Ukraine-based artists and art professionals that have been effected by the war in Ukraine. The aspirations of the collaboration are to promote solidarity by establishing sustainable support networks and finding the means for Ukrainian artists to continue their practices. The residencies are located in various places, mostly around southern Finland. Accommodation, travel and living costs of the residents are covered as part of the program. The residency period generally lasts from 3 months with the possibility of continuation. The residencies can host a single artist or artist with family members (up to 4 people).

Kone Foundation – Emergency Residencies for Ukrainian Artists and Art Professionals in Finland

Four Finland-based art organisations are offering residencies and accommodation for Ukrainian and Ukraine-based artists and art professionals who are fleeing from Ukraine or who have been displaced due to the war in Ukraine. In collaboration with Frame Contemporary Art Finland, HIAP – Helsinki International Artist Programme, Connecting Points programme and Saari Residence, both short and long stays in Finland are provided for individuals and families.
