    Laurenz Foundation and FHNW Academy of Art and Design (HKG) Basel – Scholarships for Students from Ukraine

    The FHNW Academy for Art and Design (HGK) will host 20 art and design students from Ukraine for one year. Thanks to the immediate commitment of the Laurenz Foundation, the students can be supported with scholarships and safely continue their studies in Switzerland.

    King’s College London – Support of Ukrainian Academics and Students

    The Sanctuary Programme includes a range of projects, including the Partnership for Digital Learning and Increased Access (PADILEIA), Sanctuary Scholarships and the King’s Refugee Community Sponsorship Scheme. The programme also aims to enhance understanding of forced migration among staff and students at King’s and to develop opportunities for them to make a positive contribution.

    Artists at Risk – Resources for Artists and Cultural Workers at Risk from Belarus and Russia

    AR-Safe Haven Residencies usually include accommodation (and in some cases a studio), and a monthly living grant. Travel, visa and travel-insurance and a limited budget for production and legal costs are also included. Each residency, however, offers different conditions. Some residencies can support families.

    Culture of Solidarity Fund – Ukraine

    Introduced by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) in 2020, the Culture of Solidarity Fund was originally set up as a corona-response mechanism for pan-European cultural initiatives. Established as a public-philanthropic partnership fund, it supported nearly 100 cultural projects that contributed to maintaining and reinforcing European solidarity and the idea of Europe as a shared public space during the pandemic lockdowns.

    Today, the war in Ukraine has put new relevance to our Culture of Solidarity mission and calls for funding urgent European and cultural action more than ever before.

    Ruhr University Bochum – Feder Stepun Fellowship for Scholars at Risk from Ukraine and Russia

    Postgraduate or PhD students at risk in any scientific field from Ukraine and Russia are eligible to apply for a short term fellowship at Ruhr University Bochum. Fellows are given access to a workplace and library facilities, receive support with accommodation and visa, and are connected to a mentor.

    ICFR – Emergency Fund for Filmmakers at Risk

    The International Coalition for Filmmakers at Risk (ICFR) has launched a special emergency fund for filmmakers who are in danger due to the war in Ukraine. Ukrainian filmmakers at risk as well as independent critical filmmakers from Russia and Belarus who oppose the war are eligible to apply.

    AiR Tilburg | Sea Foundation – Emergency Residencies for Ukrainian Arts Professionals

    We are looking for ways to support Ukrainian arts professionals. We, therefore, offer funded emergency residencies of 3 months to professional Ukrainian artists, curators, curator collectives, or curator/artist duo, who are displaced or who are fleeing the war. We still have two places available. You will receive a warm welcome and support in the city of Tilburg, which is located in the South of the Netherlands near the Belgium border.

    We provide sustenance, accommodation and curatorial and artistic practice support and a modest stipend. Unfortunately, due to the available accommodation, we can not host families.
